IKEA Food Court

1 IKEA Way, 78664

This post is credited to KL from Austin, Texas. He went to IKEA a while back and had decided to grab a meal there… IKEA is a furniture megastore, complete with a playground and foodcourt.  The furniture there are innovative and cheap.  I’ve been to IKEA before and I got to say, its so hard to pass up cheap hot dogs and ice cream. There is something intoxicating about eating and shopping at the same time. Heck, just doing anything while eating brings out the best in us.

So… he went but refused to give me a long description of the food… according to him, it was ‘clean, fresh, and massed produced’… so now I will have to wing this entry.

Lets see… some sort of pie on the top left corner, could it be apple? Looks decent. Glazed chicken with rice and veggies, a chicken cesaer salad, lasagna, and the famous Swedish meatballs and red potatoes. The meatballs I’ve had before and they taste pretty good, I believe that dish was $3.99. IKEA also sells their meatballs, frozen in bulk. The Swedish shortbread cookies on the top are always a favorite too… All that should be around $20 if I had to guess.
